About Partners for Care  

Partners for Care (PFC) is an independent, board-governed non-profit and partner of Nova Scotia Health. We collaborate with communities and organizations to improve access to care and enhance healthcare experiences across the province. 

PFC is leading the launch of WellTide Health - an accessible, collaborative centre that brings together multiple health and wellness programs, businesses, and community supports under one roof. Aligned with the needs of Lunenburg and Queens Counties, this innovative, 45,000 sq ft facility is designed to complement the primary healthcare system to strengthen healthcare delivery in rural Nova Scotia. 

This initiative presents a unique opportunity to help guide a bold, community-centred model of care at a pivotal stage of growth. 

Who We’re Looking For 

We are seeking board members with senior-level experience in one or more of the following areas:  

  • Senior financial leadership, CPA preferred, ideally in a non-profit or mission-driven setting, encompassing financial oversight, risk management, and long-term sustainability planning supported by scenario analysis 

  • Business model innovation, with experience in revenue diversification, community or public sector partnerships, technology-enabled solutions, charitable organizations, social enterprises, or other mission-driven models 

  • Legal and governance expertise, legal designation required, with experience in organizational risk, policy, and governance matters. Experience in healthcare, charities, non-profits, or other regulated environments is an asset
