Nick Jennery

Chief Executive Officer

Nick is an empowering leader with a strong belief that small teams can drive big change. An accomplished nonprofit executive and industry spokesperson, Nick has spent over 30 years working collaboratively with governments and interested parties to forge industry-wide agreements that improve economic, social and environmental standards.

An influential negotiator and social justice warrior, Nick has also held roles as Executive Director of 211 Nova Scotia, and Feed Nova Scotia, CEO of the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors, and founder of a consulting business supporting not-for-profit organizations across in Canada. 

In his spare time Nick likes to build – anything from cutting boards to sail boats, Walks in the forest with his wife Jo and their Newfoundland dog Benny remind him that we are all guardians of our planet and the precious resources entrusted to us.

Amanda Hatt

Chief Program Officer  

Amanda Hatt is a strategic leader with 19 years of extensive experience across nonprofit, healthcare, and both public and private sectors. Her commitment to purpose-driven impact is reflected in her approach to human-centered leadership, program innovation, project management, and marketing communications.

To help advance the strategic vision of Partners for Care, Amanda leads Partners for Care’s programs, with a particular emphasis on launching the WellTide Health program. 

When not working, Amanda enjoys beekeeping, exploring nature on mountain biking adventures with her husband, and finding relaxation and inspiration at the lake with her Beagle and a good book.

Aundrea Madden-Cocco

Senior Accountant

With a wealth of experience primarily in the private sector, Aundrea brings a diverse background to her finance role. Aundrea is deeply passionate about helping others and giving back to her community, guided by a philosophy of leading with kindness.

Outside of work, Aundrea finds peace and inspiration in nature. Whether relaxing by the ocean with a good book or exploring hiking trails, she treasures time spent outdoors. An avid crocheter, Aundrea is always looking for new ways to express her creativity.

Above all, spending quality time with her friends and family is a top priority, and she cherishes every moment in her beloved "Home of Her Heart," Cape Breton.

Christa Akerman

Chief Financial Officer

Christa Akerman has over 15 years of experience in operations and finance management. As a member of the Partners for Care team, Christa works to support the strategic vision of the organization by ensuring that financial and operation oversight is at the forefront.​

A former business owner, Christa’s decade of entrepreneurial experience includes relationship building, leadership management, and strategic development.​

When she’s not working, Christa loves camping season and spending time at the lake with her friends and family.

Pamela El Francaoui 

Program Director & Project Manager

Pamela is a Registered Nurse with experience in bedside care, program development, digital health, and clinical operations.

She has a background working across various healthcare settings to enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and implement innovative solutions that support patients, providers, and healthcare organizations.

When she’s not working, Pamela enjoys playing sports, crafting, and spending time outdoors.

Stacey McCarthy

Manager, Marketing & Communications

Stacey is a seasoned communications leader and trusted advisor with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations across sectors tell their stories, build audience trust, and navigate change with clarity and purpose. Passionate about using the power of communication to drive positive impact, she is inspired by Partners for Care’s commitment to improving community health and well-being through collaboration and compassion and is excited to lead strategic storytelling and engagement initiatives that strengthen community partnerships and promote equitable access to healthcare.

In her spare time, Stacey enjoys hiking with her dog Norm, reading, enjoying live music and spending time with her family and friends.

Christa Akerman

Kim Hirtle

Project and Program Coordinator 

Kim is the Project and Program Coordinator at Partners for Care. She helps bring ideas to life through thoughtful planning and coordination, supporting projects and programs from concept to completion. Kim also provides governance support to the Board of Directors and Committees, ensuring smooth meetings and well-organized materials.

​In her free time, Kim enjoys volunteering, travelling, crafts, and spending as much time as she can enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Nova Scotia.
