Public transit plays a vital role in the daily commute for many QEII staff. It’s also an important part of the solution as we work together to make the most of our parking disruptions.

The Halifax Transit EPass is an annual renewable plastic bus pass with the user's picture on the front. The Epass can be used for buses, ferries, Express & Regional Express routes.

Through the OPT Program, Halifax Transit EPasses are available to QEII staff at a highly discounted rate of $49 per month, paid through payroll deductions or Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) payments.

Epass users receive five free taxi vouchers from Halifax Transit's Guaranteed Ride Home Program to get home from work throughout the year in case of a personal/family emergency or illness, overtime, or if their carpool partner is unavailable.

Using a Nova Scotia Health computer Register now until Thursday, October 10, 2024 for an Epass valid November 1, 2024.​​
