Off-site Parking at the QEII
Two off-site parking locations are available exclusively to QEII staff. Parking will be available in the following lots for $8 per day on a first-come, first-served basis:

Garrison Grounds Parking Lot
The Garrison Grounds lot offers 230 parking spots for staff. Located at the corner of Ahern Ave. and Bell Rd., this lot is about a six-minute walk (500 meters) to the Halifax Infirmary’s Summer Street entrance
Parking Staff Shuttle and Shelter
A complimentary shuttle will be available to transport staff to and from the Garrison Grounds parking lot to the Halifax Infirmary and Victoria General sites, from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a midday pause in parking shuttle service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

For those who work shifts that exceed the shuttle times, Health Services Managers can provide a taxi chit to commute from your site to Garrison Grounds.
Garrison Grounds Availability
The Garrison Grounds will be fully closed or partially closed for several weekdays in September and October due to pre-existing event commitments and to complete the construction of the expanded lot.
The dates are as follows:
80 spots available, partial lot closure
No parking available, full lot closure
* Monday, September 30, and Monday, October 14 are holidays, and Scotia Square parking and shuttle will not be available. Ample on-site parking will be available to staff at the $4 daily rate.
On the full lot and partial lot closure dates above (except Monday, September 30 and Monday, October 14), FREE PARKING will be available to QEII Staff at the Scotia Square Parkade. All other weekdays during the months of September and October, staff can park Monday to Friday at the Garrison Grounds for $8/day with a shuttle available between the Garrison Grounds, Halifax Infirmary and Victoria General.
Staff who park at Scotia Square during the applicable dates above will be provided a complimentary shuttle to and from the HI & VG and a coffee voucher to use at the QEII cafeterias.
Please note: the shuttle will not pick up/drop off at Garrison Ground when the lot is partially closed on September 26 and October 1 - it will only loop between Scotia Square, HI & VG.
Scotia Square Parking Process
How to Access:

Enter the Scotia Square parkade at 5201 Albemarle St., Halifax, and take a ticket at the entry gate.

Park in any available spot.
Shuttle Service Schedule:

Morning shuttle service will run from 5:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. from Lawtons Drugs on Duke Street. It will operate in 20-minute intervals (traffic dependent).

Service will suspend from 10:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. each morning.

The shuttle will run again from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and will operate as passengers arrive (on Duke Street).

Service will suspend from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. each afternoon.

Afternoon shuttle service will run from 2:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. from the Summer Street entrance of the HI and University Avenue at the VG, returning to Lawtons Drugs. It will operate in 20-minute intervals (traffic dependent).
How to Exit:

When you get on the shuttle in the morning, the shuttle driver will provide a rebate ticket for exiting the parkade and a voucher for a free coffee at QEII cafeterias.

If you don’t use the shuttle, the rebate ticket and coffee voucher will be available for pick up 24/7 at the Summer Street Parkade Parking Office (Level 3)

When leaving the Scotia Square parkade, scan your rebate ticket at the exit station to open the gate. If there are any issues please press the help button for assistance.

College Street Lot
The College Street Lot will continue to be available for QEII staff. It has 170 spots at the corner of College St. and Summer St.
Summer Street Parkade

The parkade is available for staff parking during non-peak hours (2:30 pm - 8:30 am) Monday through Friday and all evenings, weekends and holidays.

Carpooling: The parkade has 100 spots available Monday through Friday for staff who carpool to work and arrive before 8:30 a.m. at a discounted rate of $10 per vehicle. There must be a minimum of two staff per vehicle, and NS Health IDs are required.
