Accounting Coordinator
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the full-cycle accounting activities of processing accounts payable, carrying out bank reconciliations, and the prompt completion of month end closing activities and reporting.
The Accounting Coordinator must successfully pair being detailed oriented to maintaining smooth, accurate, and timely processing of cyclical tasks such as posting daily/monthly entries and assembling month end statements.
The ideal candidate must have strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Accounting Software. Keen analytical ability and the drive to consistently follow up and follow through are also a must.
The Accounting Coordinator will work closely with the Director and will be called upon to jump in where needed to work on special projects to support the PFC organization.

We are in search of a PART-TIME Accounting Coordinator to support our vision in the pursuit of like-minded partners who can change the face of health service delivery in our Province.
A summary of duties that the Accounting Coordinator will perform include:

Work independently to promptly and accurately post daily/monthly transactions

Assemble, complete, and submit HST timely and accurate quarterly returns

Complete bank reconciliations in a timely and efficient manner

Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable

Assemble accurate and timely month-end financial statements, including variance analysis

Assist the Director of Finance with budgeting and forecasting

Support the preparation of Board documents/reports and help with annual audit, as required

Ensure accounting policies and procedures are up to date
The candidate must have:

Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including Monthly Reporting

Strong business acumen and a natural drive to anticipate needs
This role is a PART-TIME – 3 days a week (22.5 hours) remote position. There will be the occasional requirement to work at the Partners for Care’s office that is located in the VG hospital.
